Apple & Cinnamon Paleo Granola

This is a delicious grain-free and sugar-free granola with puréed apple. I have a glut of apples on my apple tree so I am finding lots of ways to use them up. You could use a sugar-free baby apple puree instead.


  • 60g coconut flakes

  • 120g ground almonds

  • 100g flaked almonds 

  • 120g pumpkin seeds

  • 2 tbsp ground flaxseeds

  • 2 tbsp chia seeds

  • 130g chopped nuts (pecan, walnut. almonds etc.)

  • 120g apple purée

  • 60g melted coconut oil

  • 2 tsp maple syrup or honey (optional)

  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon 

  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract


  1. Pre heat oven to 180c or 160 fan. Line a large baking sheet with baking parchment.

  2. Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl until well combined.

  3. Spread the granola in a thin layer on the baking sheet.

  4. Bake for 30 minutes until golden, stirring occasionally. 

  5. Leave to cool. Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
