what is a dutch test?
The DUTCH test stands for Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones and involves collection of a small amount of urine on filtered paper. It is a really easy at-home test. The DUTCH TEST measures hormone metabolites from the dried urine samples. This mades collection very easy and can also be done while travelling or on holiday.
The hormones measured these tests include:
Cortisol, Cortisone, Estradiol, Estrone, Estriol, Progesterone, Testosterone, DHEA, Melatonin
This test also measures cortisol and cortisone rhythms and levels, and oestrogen metabolism pathways.
What happens after you purchase your package?
Your practitioner will order your test and email you with a questionnaire and help answer any questions that you might have including which supplements to stop for testing.
Which DUTCH test package is right for you?
The Dutch Complete
This package is for anyone on HRT, Oral Contraceptive pill, post menopause or for women pre-menopause who are only experiencing symptoms in the second half of their cycle. If you have the Mirena Coil and you are on oestrogen HRT please choose this Dutch test. The test is performed over 24 hours.
This test is completed over a 24-hour period only (days 19-21 for cycling women or anytime for no cycle/post-menopause)

The Dutch Cycle Mapping
This is package is for any woman still having cycles even if they are irregular. We use this test for clients in Perimenopause. This is also the test for women using the hormonal IUD such as the Mirena coil but not on oestrogen HRT. This test is not suitable if you are taking HRT. See Dutch Complete. This test includes the Dutch Complete.
This test is completed over a whole cycle or 4 weeks. It is a 2-part test. The Cycle Mapping with Complete (testing instructions included for short cycle, long cycle, irregular cycle or no cycle).
