Stewed Apples with Yoghurt and Almonds
This is a marriage made in heaven for the gut, with the prebiotic fibre in
the apple and the probiotics in the yoghurt.

Serves 3 - Metabolic Types (Di, De, O, S)
Ingredients
3 apples, peeled, cored
and diced2 tsp ground cinnamon
150g coconut, almond or
organic soya yoghurt1 tbsp toasted flaked almonds
Method
Put the apples into a heavy-based saucepan along with the cinnamon
and 60ml of water.Cover with a lid and cook over a low heat, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes or until the apples have broken down but still have some texture.
Spoon 50g yoghurt into a bowl and top with a third of the stewed apple and a sprinkle of toasted almonds.
