Flourless Chocolate Cake (Vegan & Gluten Free)
Ingredients
200 g of dark chocolate, at least 70%
240 mls dairy free milk
2 tablespoons of coconut, oil or butter
150 g of apple sauce
250g ground almonds
120g of coconut sugar or sugar Vida
75g of arrowroot or cornflour
3 tablespoons cacao powder
3 teaspoons of baking powder
Method
Preheat oven to 160c fan.
Grease or line an 8-inch baking tin with baking parchment.
Melt the chocolate with the milk and butter. Allow the mixture to cool slightly.
Mixed together, all the dry ingredients.
Add the apple sauce to the cold chocolate mixture. Pour the cake batter into your prepared cake tin.
Bake for 30 to 30 or until the cake is just done, do not overbake, it will firm up once cooled.
